...not really.
only the cost of the equipment we bought for recording.
It was recorded at my house, in a small 10x10 room. I used a Tascam 688
machine, a couple of effects units and a DAT machine to record that album.
Mike sang in a small closet-like tool room connected next to the recording
room. Its as Ghetto as you can get. Why waste $100,000,000 to record a cd,
when you can do it for spare change. A good computer, a good microphone and
small digital mixer is all you need. Learn how to record, and thats it.
The cost of digital recording has gone down so dramaticly.
However, if you compare it to the uber-produced crap like Brittney Spears,
Back Street 'Boyz', all those gay sell out hip-hop 'bling-bling' retards and
pretty much 99% of whats on that shitty TRL show on MTV... its a completely
different ball game.
It seems to be the thing to do is pour $100,000+ to  over a million on
creating a Top 40 hit, record companies wont settle for less. They put about
another million in for paying off radio stations, paying off MTV, paying off
Best Buy, Tower REcords and other large chain music stores and paying off
Billboard, Rolling Stone magazines to do nothing but play and rave about
their shit music over and over again untill you cant get those f'ing songs
out of your head...Creating little materialistic zombies out of each and
everyone of us....

GOD I HATE THE RECORD BUSINESS!!!!!

the record industry sucks my ass!!!
Id rather be a fricken painter.
