Re: courtney & babes in toyland
hello everyone, im new here. so cooroporate with me sorry if im doing this wrong. because i even had problems signing on to this thing. though i love lycia, and a lot of goth music. so i decide to give this a try see how it goes. but i guess there is some learning to do since im not good in this things. i do have some questions. i just met eva from christian death not so long ago. i didnt get a chance to talk to her much, i think she said she was on her way out to pick her kids up. well atleast i think that was her. they told me that was her, and her name was eva. i never seen her till that day. one of the first goth cds i got my hands on is christian death Atrocites and i began to love. and my question was actually very simple if any one knows if eva does work on hollywood. on melrose, or did she used to work there. or was i trick onto her being eva from christian death. ok well i hope im doing this the right way, thank you. if im not doing it right plz let me know. It was Jill Emery (the bass player on Hole's first album).. She was also in Shadow Project with Rozz and Eva..and, oddly enough, later went on to play in Mazzy Star... It's sort of interesting to look at the connections between 90s grunge and 80s/90s goth/deathrock/postpunk.. I believe second Nirvana guitarist Pat Smear played with 45 Grave for a while... >which makes me think of a good question to ask >everyone. >what were some of the first goth albums you ever listened to >or bought? Hard to say... I mean, I was into The Cure and listened to Pornography a lot and probably had some Bauhaus and Sisters of Mercy albums and stuff, but never really attached the "goth" label to what I was listening to (or working on musically) until I bought Cleopatra's "Gothic Rock 2" compilation back in my early college years... So I guess that CD was the one that sort of threw the "goth" tag into the mix.. Go figure.. Josh
