I haven't scan machine but as soon as possible when i will scan this one, i
will
pass to you.

Well, i wasn't been so sceptical about Istanbul, but was still in whirlpool
of emotions
that i hardly will recovered for a while. It's simply as you said magical.
It is incredible city, so much moving, energy and good atmosphere. Of
course, there
are some traces of traditions not so familiar with western world, and i like
it in way
they transform from "chains" of tradition.
Palaces are fantastic, i visited harems, churches. mosques, etc.. they are
very tolarete
in religion even if 99% of people there are Muslims. They are now democratic
republic and all people i met there, poor or not so poor was very pleasant,
helpful and
supportive..
Photos wasn't developed as i expect, but also you cannot expect to transform
magic
of city in photos.
btw, did you know that Anton Corbijn who directed all that famous Depeche
Mode
videos done video for Bryan Adams Do I Have To say i words in istanbul..

Of course i follow Bauhaus from the VERY first beginning in early 80's and
owned
all that vinyls from small wonder,4AD and then to Beggars and Situation 2.
One of
my favourite bands.
I was try to find Myrphy's new one in istanbul, but it was on Metropolis and
maybe
will be as import who knows when.. i know he lived in Istanbul and i can
understand
him very easily..two seas, two continents, warm climate ( better than
England ) and i
can guess attractive belly-dance wife..
I didn't hear new one, but i was expected that he will broke a barrier..i
heard that he
is mate with people from turkish pop scene ( which is bad, i saw million
videos there)
but i was hope that he captured real energy of place.
As you may know Istanbul was center of Byzantine as part of East Roman
Empire (hi,
Mike ) then after divided christianity on Orthodox and Catholic Church ,
became main
place for Orthodox churches, etc, and then became center of Muslims and
Ottoman
Empire.. There is something in the air, very pleasant, inspiring, etc, etc..

I was once on Echo & The Bunnymen list and people from US and UK make fun
and
try to established one guy Bunnymen fan from there as idiot, outsider and
failure. In
fact, they was a bunch of losers, etc, etc and i was surprised that such a
kind of peolle
was attracted by Bunnymen music. People should be lived with prejudice..

Regarding Murphy and his family, we visited one national turkish restaurant
and they
included belly dance . There was 3 of belly dancers, all 3 with different
kind of dance.
And all of them was marcvellous.. In search of Murphy's CD we get into one
CD store
and Violeta recognize music from belly dancing background and bought it. It
was half-half
disc, one half is strongly percussive one, if you how DCD use turkish and
arabic influnece
in Oman ( check live album and video ) and that is brilliant one, pure
energy and spirits
flow all around, second one is compromise with popular musci but also
pleasant listening..

I can wrote from Istanbul for hours, and i hope that you will find a time
and money to
visit it, if you will don't hesitate i can gave you few advice, city change
a lot in last 10 years..

Hmm, i nearly forgot..as i sucker for Sherlock Holmes, hercul Poirot i saw
hotel room
where Agatha Christie wrote Murder in Orient Express..

when i think twice, i think there is no better place to listen Bare than on
the middle of
place where Bosphorus meet the Marble See, somewhere in the water between
two
continents..

thanx for your responding..

very best,
  mileta
