This'll probably surprise you, and I don't mind taking a few digs for it.

I'm pretty upset about what happened to Lisa Lopes.  Nah, I'm quite a lot
upset.  I've been a closet fan of TLC since 1992.  They have always
impressed me in the sense that not only did they look good, but they worked
their asses off for what they got and were screwed at every opportunity by
the people who made millions off them.  I respect that kind of devotion and
dedication.  I think it's total bullshit she had to die so young and in such
a fucked up manner while the Blink 182's of the world get to carry on their
merry way pumping us full of music that is about as deep as a birdbath.

I remember a time a good few years back when I was lounging around the
living room with my old bassist Ian Christensen.  He was at work (which
means drinking beer and watching MTV, long story).  he looks up at me and
says "Ya know, you watch MTV for four hours these days and you figure out
really quick that the only good crap they show are TLC and the Spice Girls".
So I joined him.

He was right.  Scary.

Okay, the girl was a lunatic, but I respect a girl that doesn't take crap
from a guy or the industry that screwed those girls like a 10 dollar whore.
If the boy cheats, set his house on fire.  That's one way to get the message
across... (Not that I really recommend it, but different strokes I guess).

It amazes me that a band that sells 9 million records ends up with around 35
grand apiece.  That is flat out wrong.  I'm of the opinion that there are
some people running the record business who need a good spanking and to be
sent to bed without any supper.

it was nice to have one band in the hip-hop genre (which I detest for the
most part) who wasn't contrived or manufactured, just real.

It's been a bad day.  All apologies all around if this was an innapropriate
place to write this.
