I haven't seen the video, but I'm pretty sure Beth Gibbons isn't on any of
their albums.  It's just their vocalist, Geike Arnaert, trying a new sultry
loungy style (the vocalist from their 2nd album that is...  Their original
vocalist, Liesje Sadonius, left after their first album)...

I actually saw Hooverphonic opening for Fiona Apple way back in 1997 when A
New Stereophonic Sound Spectacular just came out..  I think it was near the
beginning of their first American tour, and nobody knew who they were..but
they were amazing...completely blew Fiona away :^)  I think I have a signed
promo flat from that show laying around somewhere...  I loved their first
album, but didn't really like their 2nd album all that much, and actually
didn't even know the 3rd was out until recently...  Go figure...

Oh, and the coolest video I've seen in a long time is the new Coldplay video
for "Trouble"..  It's amazing...  It sort of combines the cryptic nature and
artistry of a Radiohead video with the beautiful surreal stop-motion visuals
of a Bjork video...  Truly breathtaking...

I'm just waiting to see the 2 new Cure videos...  They filmed videos for both
of the 2 new tracks from the greatest hits compilation (which are excellent
songs, by the way)..  They're also putting out a greatest hits DVD with music
videos and videos of them performing 6 of the 18 acoustic tracks they recorded
for the limited edition bonus CD that comes with initial pressings of the
album...  Yay...more Cure!!!
