[twilightml] Kudos for Lycia (fwd)
Thought this ought to be forwarded to this list... http://www.mp3.com/Numina http://www.frii.com/~numina ---------- Forwarded message ---------- Date: Sun, 20 May 2001 10:42:24 EDT From: mavjb@support-cause.aol.com Most of us are really passionate about music, but a fact about Mike VanPortfleet from Lycia has me totally in awe. As some of you know, Mike suffers from brittle diabetes. This effects everything in the body and can often cause peripheral neuropathy (numbness to the extremities) and failing vision, among the many other horrors this illness brings. Sitting back and listening to Lycia, it is a marvel that a man in that much physical discomfort has been able to create some of the most lush and atmospheric music that many bands have aspired to emulate. Imagine loving *sound* so much, that one would forge ahead despite physical discomfort to get the notes in their head recorded. Next time you pull out your Lycia CD's, sit and listen with a new head. This is truly a work of passion AND pain that somehow transcends words. ^v^ Mike V^v^ www.mp3.com/stations/hiddensanctuary [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] - Twilight: The Ethereal Music Mailing List - http://www.morbidoutlook.com/twilight/ - Your use of Yahoo!
