thanks so much for your insights! to answer some of your questions:

YES! mike did do the programming! :) and he used/uses: in the early days
(pre Ionia) Alesis HR16, ionia/stark - era: Kawai PH50 presets, everything
since: Alesis SR16. synths: Kawai PH50, Kawai K11, ASR10 (dave galas)

mike and i wrote Estrella (caterpillar butterly - which will appear on Comp.
II) on acoustic guitar. it happened quite naturally and it still sorta
puzzles me how the lyrics fell out of my head without any effort. they
seriously just came from somewhere beyond my brain.

thanks again for your insights! it's always interesting to hear other
people's perceptions!!
