hello!

Evening, all.

This is my first [i guess introductory] post to this list.  I'll just let you
all in on some of the 411...

My name is Davyd Pittman, im currently burning up in the DFW area of texas.  I
have been a lycia fan for a few years now, since i guess right before the
"cold" album came out.  actually, lycia was pretty much the first "dark" band i
ever liked, my first exposure coming from mike and david's excellent redition
of "across a thousand blades" on the projekt btfabg tribute "of these
reminders".  reading thru the archives, i see that the thread is "what was the
non-lycia opener of thier set @ the projekt fest"... well, youve got me there.
ive only seen lycia in concert once when i lived in los angeles... they were
playing at Coven13 (a 18 or 21+ venue, and i was only 16 or 17 at the time),
and i had to drive in my beat up ass station wagon to santa barbara to see them
at the all ages show there... it was worth all of it, even having to sleep in
my car in vinyl pants.  ;P    trance to the sun opened, and i was just a great
show.  i really wish i'd had the nerve to come up and say hello, but i was at
an awkward time then.

and so i ramble!

im looking forward to some nice meaty lycia gossip here... and the new album!
ive rediscovered "the burning circle..." and have realized how sorely
underappreciated that album is.  its gotta be one of the best!  thats why im so
looking forward to hearing what the band sounds like now that dave galas is
back in.  and, when you guys are booking your next tour, dont overlook dallas.
youve got fans here.  :)

the only other band who is capable of expressing so much in their albums (in my
humble opinion) is And Also the Trees.  anyone else ever heard of them?  mike,
tara?  if no one has, you should really check them out... they have a different
sound, but that same emotive quality and the ability to lift you right out of
your life and into bliss.  i love that.  :)
