Thinking about this again, if there is a significant demand for this.  There's
no reason why the #lycia channel couldn't be linked to a "chat room" on AOL.
But we would need a 24/7 link, if it will be open 24/7.  There's no sense in
having multiple groups of people talk out there, but separated from each
other.  The more people that can be brought together the better...

Provided that it is not abused, it should be great since there is the
possibility of gaining more conversation.

Connections are allowed from AOL users on darkNET so there's no problem there,
however AOL users may have problems getting on EFnet due to massive abuse from
AOL users and the lack of resolution and laziness of AOL's admins.  But that's
old news anyways.  Both channels are linked so it's the user's choice on which
they would prefer.
