Re: Gear
Thus spake Avanmisfit@support-cause.aol.com (Avanmisfit@support-cause.aol.com): > I am sorry to have missed the chat last night- I was away again. I hope > to chat with you all *sometime*. That's alright. There will always be others that I hope will be at a more convenient time for you. Also the channel is of course available 24/7 so pop in if you'd like, the more regulars the better. ;) > Does anyone know where I can get information on what gear Lycia uses and > has used-- the sythns, guitars, etc... Ya, I bet you'll like the Yamaha CS1X more than the nordlead. If you like Analogue synths you'll want (and I mean WANT) Minimoog, an ARP, an Oberheim OB. For digital eq, stuff like an e-mu Proteus 2000 or Audity 2000 are really nice, although I've never tried those two out personally. There's lots a cool things out there, it really depends on how you like to work. There's lots of things you can do with an classic Amiga computer and OctaMED as well. But anyways, on to your original question. ;) (from the interview at http://velvetempire.com/lycia/lycia2.html) Q. I know there have been a few questions asked about the different instruments that you use. Would you mind posting a gear list of what you use (gear and effects). A. Mike: Here is the gear that we presently use: Synths: Kawai K11, Kawai PH50. Guitars: Epiphone Les Paul, Ibanez Roadstar. Alesis SR16 drum machine, Stienburg Pro24 sequencing on an old Atari computer Effects: Digitech GSP-5 (2), Lexicon LXP-5, Alesis microverb, Art FXR, Alesis compressor/gate, Art tube amp. Recording: Fostex DMT-8VL, Sony DAT recorder. Mixing: Samson and Mackie. -- .oO,.. oneiros (oneiros@support-cause.darkspire.net) - #lycia / EFnet and darkNET IRC ..,Oo. ... and the `fortune -s` for this e-mail is ... Row, row, row your bits, gently down the stream...
