        Hello all . . . this will be the last email list for a bit; Lisa
and I are taking off for ten days to visit friends. You'll hear back from
me around the 9th of January. Of course, this absence will give all the
freaks out there a chance to start up that "Projekt is out of business"
rumor again . . . but do NOT believe it! Projekt is set to have one of our
most exciting years yet, with a bunch of new releases slated to start off
1999.
        In January, black tape for a blue girl's "As one aflame laid bare
by desire" will be out. In February, Attrition returns with "The Jeopardy
Maze" and Steve Roach has a new collaborative partner -- Vir Unis -- on
"Body Electric". Then black tape heads out for a Mid-West / Southern tour.
After that is the Various Artist compilation "A cat shaped hole in my
heart" with artists doing songs about their kitty cats.
        We have recently gained a number of European list-subscribers who
(unfortunately) don't have as easy access to Projekt releases as our
American friends. Well fret not. Germany's Apocalyptic Visions will be
releasing the blacktape and Attrition albums in the spring . . . so at last
continental availability will be had! Martin is thinking about a European
tour for Attrition and there is talk of blacktape appearing at the German
Leizpig Festival in May . . . so keep an eye out! If you want to get a

        "As one aflame laid bare by desire" [PRO86] the new cd from Black
tape for a blue girl will be in stores on January 12th, 1999 and there is
already noticeable interest being stirred up by this release. "Billboard"
ran a 1/3 page article on the band in late-November, the newest issue of
"Propaganda" has a full page piece,  Blacktape is on the cover of New York
City's "Under The Volcano" (which can be read on the interviews page
of the black tape homepage), "CMJ" will have a review in their mid-January
issue, as well as blacktape's "Given" on the CD that comes with Jan's "CMJ
monthly" and the Jan 1st issue of "Alternative Press" will also have a full
page on the band!
         Of course the album will be available across the country at
Borders, Hot Topic, Virgin, Barnes and Noble and all the cool indie shops
that have been supporting Projekt over the years. If none of those are
close to you, you can purchase "Aflame" from Projekt . . . and the disc
will arrive at your house right around the time of the Jan 12th street date.
